St Basil`s Church
In Red Square, in the heart of Moscow, it is one of the main Russian Orthodox churches. St. Basil`s Cathedral was built by Tsar Ivan the Terrible in honor of the glorious victory over the Kazan Khanate and the return of possessions in Kazan. Its construction lasted from 1555 by 1561. Central Church Cathedral was consecrated in honor of the great Orthodox feast of the Protection of the Mother of God, so the church has a second name - the Cathedral of the Holy Virgin.
